A Celebration in Honor of Ed Zajac
and the
Edward E. Zajac Prize

On the evening of September 21, 2007, we honored our colleague Ed Zajac and celebrated the newly created Edward E. Zajac Prize. Ed's life and career are quite remarkable. Before he became an economist at Bell Labs and then the chairman of the Arizona Economics Department, Ed was an engineer at Bell Labs. While working there in 1963 he created the world's very first computer-animated movie.

The four-minute movie was shown at the celebration.
