Undergraduate Programs
A Rigorous 4-Year Economics Programs
The Economics Department at the University of Arizona offers two distinct undergraduate degree tracks to accommodate various interests and career objectives. Students can pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) through the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences or a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) through the Eller College of Management.
The Bachelor of Arts degree allows students to combine their economics education with a second field of study; creating a unigue course of study for every student. The Bachelor of Science in Business Adminsitration introduces students to many facets of business while building a strong educational foundation in economics.
Outstanding Teaching: A Department Trademark
The Arizona Economics Department is also acclaimed for the quality of its teaching. Our faculty members consistently win university and national teaching awards. And our students have unusually good access to the faculty: every one of our faculty members teaches undergraduate courses. Only a handful of our courses are taught by our graduate students; we have an innovative program for developing the teaching skills of our graduate students and for selecting only the best to teach their own courses. Even our graduate students earn university awards for their outstanding teaching.
