Current Research

Professor Angelucci is a development economist. Some of her current interests are the role of informal institutions as means to smooth consumption and favor investment, the causes of domestic violence, the study of households consumption, and the determinants of illegal migration to the US. Her work is primarily based on Mexico, although she's also written on South African unionism and unemployment and the effect of ownership and competition on firm productivity.
